CALCUTTA, Jan 8: Two upsets marked the day at the Uniworth 64th National Billiards Championships even as Geet Sethi continued his majestic run. The reigning champion who is expected to hold on to his crown quite comfortably and became the first player to qualify for the semis. He beat Arun Agarwal 1443-623.

Shyam Jagtiani edged past nalin Patel 488-473. Devendra Joshi lost to ME Jokhi 491-667. In another pre-quarter B Bhaskar beat S Simachalam 533-473.Also Prem Prakash had a good break of 155 in his 532-499 win over Irfan Mirza and Manoj Kothari prevailed over Alok Kumar 805-625. Ashok Shandilya too produced some big breaks in his 1002-425 win over Mohammad Asim.
