Jolly Boys lead group "a"

PUNE, Jan 28: After a brief gap on completion of the Poona District Football Association leagues, the tournament resumes with the super leagues from Saturday, January 30. All matches will be played at the Military ground, Ghorpuri.

The top five teams have been selected in the third division, leaders from each pool on the basis of maximum points garnered, while in the second division top four teams, the top two from group F & G, will be seen in action. The winners and runners-up get promoted to the next division. Third divison teams go to the second and second divisioners to first.

Group leaders in the third division are as follows. Gr. A: Jolly Boys Ghorpuri (15 points), group B: Fatima XI (18 points), group C: Kinghts XI (18 points), group D: Shivajians Daund (18 points) and gruup E: Thunder Cats B (16 points). Second division qualifiers include, Khadki Blues and K P XI from group F with 21 points each and group G teams SRPF and Parshuramians have made it with 22 and 19 points respectively.
