CHANDIGARH, MARCH 5: With six birdies, 27 pars, two bogies and one double bogey ace Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh made the cut with an aggregate two under-par 142 in the Algarve Portuguese Open at 72-par 6875-yard Le Meridien course, according to information received here today.The Chandigarh golfer was in form today as he carded three under-par 69 on the second day after playing one over on the first day yesterday. He jumped to joint 17th spot from joint 57th position with 18 others yesterday. At the end of second round he was sharing the 17th spot with others, including Peter Mitchell, of England.Jeev today began with a bogey on the first hole itself. However, as the game progressed, the Indian golfer regained his form. Jeev, the only Indian to qualify for the European Tour, hit birdies on the fifth, 13th, 16th and 18th holes.A temporary loss of concentration had clost Jeev Milkha Singh a double bogey on the three-par 215-yard 13th hole. However, he atoned himself for his yesterday's lap by scoring a most creditable birdie on this unlucky figure of `13'.According to the latest report, three players were sharing the top spot with an identical six-under 138. Des Smyth of Ireland, Santiago Luna of Spain and Fredrik Jacobson of Sweden were the joint leaders. Luna was two-under after 12th green, Jacobson was also two-under after 10th hole. However, Symth was at par after nine holes. Yesterday, Symth had yesterday played six-under par 66.
