In the wake of a revolt by a section of JD(S) MLAs opposing the party’s fresh alliance with BJP which staked to claim to form government in Karnataka, former Chief Minister and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy secured individual letters from MLAs pledging their support to the proposed new regime.

Kumaraswamy, who ferried about 40 MLAs supporting him to a private resort on the city outskirts, commenced the exercise of getting individual letters of support which would be submitted to the Governor Rameshwar Thakur.

“We are not worried about other developments. We will submit letters signed individually by our MLAs to the Governor on extending support to BJP-led coalition government”, Kumaraswamy told PTI over phone.
