LUDHIANA, FEB 3: Jagatjit Cotton Textile Mills (Phagwara) and FC Kochin virtually replayed their erlier encounter in the first phase, finishing a goalless draw in the fourth edition of National Football League at Guru Nanak Stadium on Thursday.

The millmen had drawn their away match (2-2) against Kochin on January 10. With this match, JCT have collected 18 points from 12 matches while FC Kochin have 15 from the same number of matches.

Although JCT were on attack and kept pressure, particularly during first half, the absence of key players Hardip Sangha and Hardip Gill, who were on the injured list, made a difference. Daljit, Jaswant, Jaswinder and Sukhjit featured in a number of moves inside the Kochin box but the opportunities went abegging.

Two men belonging to the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar Gang were killed in an encounter in Ghaziabad, suspected to be involved in the firing outside Disha Patani's residence. The duo, identified as Ravindra and Arun, were wanted in multiple cases and were spotted by the police through CCTV footage. UP CM Yogi Adityanath had directed for a speedy investigation and strict action against the perpetrators.
