PUNE, March 23: Dr Jayant Naralikar, internationally acclaimed scientist and director of the Pune-based Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAS), has been selected for the 10th Punya Bhushan award.An announcement to this effect was made by Tridal trustee Dr Satish Desai in the presence of Pune Mayor Vatsala Andekar at a press conference here this morning. Narlikar would be presented a trophy of child Shivaji tilling the land with a golden plough, the first edition of "kesari", a citation and a cash prize of Rs 25,000, Desai said.The award presentation ceremony would be held sometime this year.
