MUMBAI, JAN 21: Sandeep Jangra encountered unexpected resistance from Manoj Dhoria before entering the under-13 final in the fourth leg of the Air-India SRAM Junior squash tournament at Otters Club, Bandra, on Friday. Jangra won 7-9, 9-3, 7-9, 9-3, 9-0.

Karandikar champ
Sanjay Karandikar won the Datamatics Cup 2000 chess title organised by the Maharashtra Chess Association for the Blind. In the final round, Rajesh Oza was joint second with Suryakant Raut (4.5 points).

In the partially blind section, Swapnil Shah defeated Harish Kharat (5.5 points) to top. Madan Bhagyatkar finished second on five points with Shirish Patil third.
