Pakistan has said that in the event of an Indo-Pak summit, their premier M.Z.K. Jamali will hold talks with his Indian counterpart A.B. Vajpayee. Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri added that the fresh initiatives for resumption of dialogue have been taken as both sides have realised that the issue cannot be solved through war.

Jamali lauded the Indian initiative to resume dialogue and called upon all political parties in the country to forge a consensus on Indo-Pak relations. He also promised to keep legislators informed of the developments and exhorted the parties to exhibit cooperation and unity, state-run news agency APP reported on Sunday.
