In the wake of the terror strike on Mumbai, AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi has refrained from talking politics during the last two days in his public meetings across south Rajasthan. Instead, he has urged people to remain united and mourned those who were killed in the attack. However, on Saturday it wasn’t just terrorism, Rahul Gandhi also launched an attack on the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP Government.“The BJP Government is based on lies and propaganda and reeks of corruption. Only the Congress party can lead the state back onto the path of development,” he claimed. Gandhi also took the opportunity to laud the UPA’s schemes.“Only the UPA is capable of schemes like the NREGA for the development of the economically backward section. The multi-crore loan waiver for debt ridden farmers is proof of our pro poor schemes,” he said. With this being his last round of meetings before the Rajasthan elections , Gandhi met all MLAs of the region.
