MUMBAI, MAY 13: Indian Naval Sailing Association, which includes two world champion helmsmen and one crew in their team of three pairs, won the National Team Racing Sailing Championships in the Enterprise Class off Mumbai Harbour here today.

INSA won the three-match final 2-0. INSA were too good as they had the 1993 world champion pair Homi Motivala and Pushpendra Garg, 1991 world champion helmsman, Farokh Tarapore with JD Rami and silver medallist at the recent Worlds in South Africa, R Mahesh with Dhanya Pilo.

In team racing, three boats of each team race and the team with the minimum penalty points are declared winners.

The Sea Cadet Corps Sailing Association team — Mehul Ashar with Girish Rao, Amol Rane with Saeed Asad, Riddhi Jani and Rahul Kansara.

This nationals was also the selection trials to select the Indian team for the World Championships to be held in Dublin in July. The world will be held in the Firefly class, a smaller version of the two-hander Enterprise class.
