It stocks plunged on the BSE on Thursday, bearing the brunt of disappointing second quarter results posted by Infosys. The IT index declined to an intra-day low of 4,742.68, a fall of 306.32 points from its previous close. The index finally settled at 4,766.72 points. Shares of Infosys dipped 6.99 per cent and touched an intra-day low of Rs 1,961 over Wednesday’s closing price of Rs 2,124.55. In the NSE, it touched an intra-day low of Rs 1,963 and settled at Rs 1,976.85.
