MUMBAI, March 23: IndusInd Bank will offer its customers the service of "Banking on the Net" from March 24, 1998. This will be an alternative delivery channel that IndusInd offers its customers in addition to branch banking, on-line ATMs and tele-banking.This will make IndusInd Bank among the first banks in the country offering the internet banking facility to its customers. ICICI Bank already offers its customers this facility. Customers would be able to access Internet Banking facilities not only through the Internet but also through dial-up access on a common browser platform. "This will be a unique add on for customers who are not on the net," the bank said."Banking on the Net" can be accessed through the home page of IndusInd Bank at indusind.com. The services which will initially be provided through the Internet are account balance enquiry, account transaction history, details about term deposits, cheque book request, account statement request, information on interest rates and forex rates.
