Foreign secretaries of India and Pakistan will begin the next round of the composite dialogue on January 17-18 in New Delhi. This was announced by the Ministry of External Affairs today. The two officials will kickstart the third round with discussions on Peace and Security including Confidence Building Measures and on J-K.

During Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran’s Islamabad visit in September, it was decided that the second round of the composite dialogue was reviewed. It was then agreed that the third round would be held in January in New Delhi. The MEA spokesperson said a Pakistan Railways team will visit India on January 4-7 to work out the modalities for train service between Munabao and Khokhrapar.
