MUMBAI, January 3 : The Indian cricket team would play two Test matches, apart from a triangular series involving West Indies, India and Zimbabwe, on their 43-day tour of Zimbabwe from May 25 to July seven.The Indian cricket board (BCCI) secretary, Jaywant Lele, clarified from Baroda over the phone here on Wednesday that the Indians would be playing two Test matches and not three Tests as the BCCI release earlier said. They will kick-off their tour with a three-day match against CFX Academy from May 28 to 30 and then play their second warm-up game against Zimbabwe ‘A’ from June 2-4 at Motare. The first Test would be held at Harare from June 7-11 while the second Test would be played at Bulawayo from June 15-19. The Indians will play a limited overs practice game at Harare on June 22 against the hosts before the triangular series. The Indians will play their first two One-Day Internationals (tri-series) against Zimbabwe on June 24 and June 27 at Harare and Bulawayo respectively.They will play the next two one-dayers against the West Indies on June 30 and July four at Bulawayo and Harare respectively before the final on July seven at Harare. The Itinerary:May 25: Arrival at Harare. May 28-30: Three-day game against CFX Academy at Harare. June 2-4: Three-day game against Zimbabwe ‘A’ at Motare. June 7-11: First Test match at Harare. June 15-19: Second Test match at Bulawayo. June 22: One-day practice tie against Zimbabwe at Harare. June 23: Zimbabwe vs West Indies tri-series at Harare. June 24: Zimbabwe vs India at Harare. June 27: Zimbabwe vs India at Bulawayo. June 30: India vs West Indies at Bulawayo. July 1: Zimbabwe vs West Indies at Bulawayo. July 4: India vs West Indies at Harare. July 7: Final.
