Indian shooters won one silver and three bronze medals today at the 11th Asian Shooting Championship at Kuwait. But none came close to getting an Olympics quota berth.

According to information reaching here, the team comprising of Zakir Khan (534), Amanpreet Singh (534) and Kapil Tomar (505) (total 1573/1800) won the silver in the junior 50m free pistol team event. Zakir Khan also won the individual bronze with a score of 534 (96.8). In the women’s air rifle team event, Priya Aggarwal (395), Suma Shirur (393) and Avneet Kaur Sidhu (390) won the bronze. Tejaswini Sawant and Anjali Bhagwat shot 392 and 395 respectively in minimum qualifying scores category. In junior air rifle women’s event, Navdeep Kaur got bronze with a score of 393+102.1.
