Indian wedding captivates Belgium

A lavish, weeklong double wedding in Belgium’s Indian community began with a reception for 600 guests and the transformation of the Nekkershal Convention Centre into a replica of the Jaipur palace.

Bollywood stars were expected at a party Friday and thousand of guests are expected over the coming days to celebrate the marriages of Priti and Vishal Shah, children of Indian businessman Vijay Shah, to Belgian residents of Indian origin.

There was also speculation that an international star would join the Indian entertainers at the wedding, after reports that Janet Jackson had sung at an earlier wedding in the family.
