NEW DELHI, NOV 24: Altaf-Ur-Rehman struck a hat-trick as Indian Airlines thrashed Afghan Club (Bahalwpur, Pakistan) 5-0 in a Pool II league match to enter the semi-finals of the ONGC-Nehru hockey tournament, at the National Stadium here today.

Air India and Border Security Force (BSF) also entered last four from Pool I. BSF held Bharat Petroluem to a 1-1 draw, while Air India rallied to knock out Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) 4-3 in a thrilling encounter. Army XI have already qualified from Pool II.

Airlines dominated the first half to knock in three goals through Altaf, and held steady in the second.Air-India scotched PSB’s chances of qualifying, getting two quick goals in the second session, and holding out till the end.
