The Doha Round of the World Trade Organisation talks will commence on January 28 and 29, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath said today.

Nath indicated that after the Davos meeting, India will again begin engaging other nations in order take the Doha Development Round forward.

‘‘We are having a bilateral meeting with the European Union on the 30th and 31st of January. A date has yet to be set for a bilateral meet with the US,’’ Nath said.

However, India will not be talking to the rich nations alone. ‘‘A session with the Least Developed Countries is being planned sometime in February. A meeting of the G20 is also being worked out,’’ Nath added.
