AMRITSAR, SEPT 7: India on Thursday handed over to Pakistan 14 of its nationals, who have been in prison after entering the country without proper documents.

Pakistani Rangers accepted 14 out of 28 persons at the Wagah border after verifying their identity, a Border Security Force spokesman said here.

The other Pakistani nationals were taken back by the police to a jail here, he said. The Pakistanis were in prison for the past three to four years and did not have any serious charges against them, the spokesman said.

However, an Indian national named Billu, who is being held in Pakistan could not be handed over on Thursday due to delay in processing of his papers in Islamabad, he said adding, Pakistan will hand over Billu on Friday.
