Transfer of technology for manufacture of Mirage 2000 here, intelligence sharing and joint exercises will be discussed during the Fifth meeting of the Indo-French high committee on Defence in Paris from tomorrow.

The Indian team that left for Paris today is led by Defence Secretary Subir Dutta and includes the vice-chiefs of the Army, Air Force and the Navy.

The two nations will discuss supply of spare parts and better avionics for fighter planes, sources said. Mirage manufacturer Dassault has offered to set up an assembly line in India.

Sources said the countries have agreed on technology transfer for production of new generation Scorpene submarine to be built by Mazagoan Docks Limited in Mumbai.
