Ajay Sharma to lead Delhi

NEW DELHI: Prolific run-getter Ajay Sharma, who led the team into the final early this year, was retained skipper of the Delhi for the coming season’s North Zone Ranji Trophy and the one-day games that precede them to decide the qualifiers for next year’s Wills Trophy.

The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) today named two separate lists of 17 players each for the two versions.

Delhi take on Haryana in the opener at the Kotla on October 18 (one-dayer, to be followed by the four-day game).

Team for Ranji: Ajay Sharma (capt), Atul Wassan, Raman Lamba, Ashu Dani, Vijay Dahiya, Akash Malhotra, Rajneesh Chopra, Pankaj Joshi, Nikhil Chopra, Robin Singh, Feroz Ghayas, Ashish Malhotra, Rahul Sanghvi, Mithun Minhas, Aakash Chopra, Ashish Nehra and Davinder Sharma.
