Undeterred by RJD Chief laloo Prasad Yadav’s caution against ‘‘crossing limits’’ in attacking politician-criminal nexus, Bihar DGP D.P. Ojha today hit out at criminalisation of politics and said the civil administration in the state had ‘‘virtually collapsed’’.Ojha said the police and the politicians were equally responsible for the sorry state of affairs prevalent in the state.Replying to questions at a ‘‘public court’’ organised by a national daily at the book fair here, the DGP admitted that the police and civil administration in Bihar had virtually collapsed and appealed to the younger generation to come forward with remedial measures.Ojhas’s earlier remarks about ciminalisation of politics and his attack on controversial RJD MP and some other party MLAs had yesterday drawn the ire of party chief Laloo Prasad Yadav who said Ojha should stay within his limits and he had no right to go public about politicians. But sticking to his gun, Ojha today said he would continue to speak the truth and will love to cross the ‘‘lakhsman rekha’’ drawn by the politicians. ‘‘To speak the truth is no crime. I will continue to raise my voice against criminalistion of politics even after retirement next year,’’ he added.
