Demonstration at councillor’s house
A group of people staged a demonstration outside the residence of Ward number 18 Municipal Councillor Kamlesh, here this morning. They blamed her for their not being allotted houses under the rehabilitation scheme in Indira Awaas Colony.

Police were called on the spot, who dispersed the group. Kamlesh described it as a "cheap political stunt" masterminded by her political opponents.

B.Com-I merit list displayed
The GGDSD College has displayed the merit list for admissions to B.Com Part I. A press release issued by the college principal, Dr A.C. Vaid, stated that the college received over 1,700 applications for 120 seats. The general category list contains names of 302 candidates, those who have secured 74.2 per cent marks and above. The release added that the candidates should point out the mistakes by Tuesday and appear for interviews according to the given schedule.

Lion Baljit Modi installed president
District Lions Governor Paramjit Kohli installed Lion Baljit Modi as president of Lions Club Rose, at the Sector 18 Lions Bhavan, here on Sunday evening. Kohli also inaugurated a new Leo Lion Club Rose with Lion Harjindera Modi as charter president.

Lions Club Rose runs a number of social welfare projects including a mini-health and welfare centre in the Sector 31 labour colony.
