Demanding President’s Rule in Jharkhand following ‘chaotic’ political situation, the BJP on Friday alleged that the state’s future would be ruined if JMM chief Shibu Soren took over as chief minister.
“It will be a misfortune if the reins of the state went to JMM leader Shibu Soren. The BJP demands President’s Rule in Jharkhand to stop political bargaining,” former chief minister and leader of opposition Arjun Munda told newspersons here.
Munda, who is here to participate in a ‘special training programme’ for 140 BJP leaders of Jharkhand in the presence of of party’s national vice president Karuna Shukla, was commenting on Soren’s indication to become the chief minister.
Munda said that the BJP had never offered the chief minister’s post to Soren as reported by the media before the July 22 trust vote.
Shukla accused Soren of adopting corrupt practices to get his political ends and the people of the state would not “forgive” him.
For the last four days Soren has been saying that the people in the state wish to see him as their leader in Jharkhand.
