Illicit liquor suspected in four deaths

MADURAI, July 1: The death of four persons belonging to Harveypatti near Tirunager, sent rumours across the city the the deaths were caused by illicit arrack. M Ganesan, DIG, Madurai Range, claimed that all deaths were due to natural causes and medical case sheets were available to prove this. But the people of the area claimed that the deaths were caused by consumption of illicit arrack.
