Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Madhavendra Singh today said that the flight data recorders of the two IL-38 transport aircraft which collided mid-air off the Goa coast on October 1 have been sent to Russia for a detailed analysis.
Singh said more information about the accident would only be available after the report on the recorders was submitted. The two IL-38 aircraft, which participated in a flypast to mark the silver jubilee celebrations of the squadron, crashed near Dabolim airport, 35 km from Panaji.
