IIT Professor conferred Sc.D by Cambridge Varsity

CHENNAI, August 8: Dr K A Padmanabhan of the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, IIT Chennai, and Dean of Academic Research at the institute, has won the highest Sc.D (Science Doctorate) degree conferred by the University of Cambridge. He is in the august company of only three other Indians, the other recipients of the degree being Dr S Chandrasekhar and Dr J V Narlikar (Astronomy) and Dr A V Narlikar (Physics). Dr Padmanabhan’s degree is for material sciences.
