For the first time ever a largely-attended roza iftar was organised in the campus of Hanumangarhi temple on Thursday evening. About 500 Muslims from Ayodhya and Faizabad gathered at the residence of Mahant Gyan Das, president of Shri Ram Mandir Punaruddhar Samiti. Mahant Gyan Das said local mahants, prominent citizens and Muslim leaders and clerics from the twin cities participated in the iftar the objective of which was to create communal harmony and brotherhood. He said Ayodhya had been a centre of confluence of Hinduism and Islam since times immemorial and the high moral character of Lord Ram and Hanuman was an example of humility.
