MUMBAI, JAN 8: IES English regained the Giles Shield Championships, after a gap of five years when they beat Balmohan Vidyamandir by 137 runs on the third day of the four-day final at the Parsee Gymkhana here on Thursday.Balmohan, who were chasing a target of 396 for a win in 75 overs were bowled out for 259 in 64.4 overs. The highlight of Balmohan's innings was the century by captain Harshad Rawle (112: 17x4, 108 balls). He had the rare honour of scoring century in both the innings. He was involved in a 122-run partnership for the third wicket with Sanket Bhaye (57: 7x4, 102b).In the morning, IES English resumed at 199 for six and added another 50 runs.
