Patna, Aug 12: Bihar Governor S S Bhandari has sought a report from the state government on the allegations of a senior IAS officer's wife Champa Biswas that she along with her other female relatives were raped by the son of a RJD leader and that her husband and two minor sons were facing life threats.Raj Bhavan sources told PTI that Bhandari was keen that the entire episode be "thoroughly" probed keeping in view the "seriousness of the complaint".The Principal Secretary to the governor, C R Venkatraman, had already written to state Chief Secretary S N Biswas seeking a detailed report in this connection.Champa Biswas, in her complaint petition sent to the Governor from New Delhi on June 13, alleged that an RJD leader's son along with his other accomplices raped her, her mother, female domestic helps and other relatives on September two, 1995, and several attempts to kill her husband and two minor sons were being made since then.Keeping in view the threat perceptions, her husband B B Biswas, a 1982batch IAS officer, was forced to proceed on long leave for an uncertain period and hide outside the state since November 28, 1997, she said in her complaint.B B Biswas, Director of Social Security in the State Labour department, has formally applied for Central deputation as his return to Bihar "is sure to be greeted with murder along with his minor sons" Champa Biswas alleged.The state government, after receiving a copy of her complaint petition from the National Human Rights Commission last week, had asked senior police superintendent (Patna) Sunil Kumar to probe into the allegations.
