In the second match of the day, New Delhi Heroes and Shastri shared points as the match ended was drawan goalless. The former champions Heroes, once a formidable team and a force to reckon with, have not been in their elements of late. Their forwards were to be blamed for the missed opportunities that their midfield ably created. Similarly, Shastri too had their share of luck. But some unimaginative gameplan put paid to their ambitions. They missed some easy sitters.pNew Dellhi Heroes have earned 18 points from nine matches whereas Shashtri have secured 23 points in 10 matches.

At the Nehru Stadium, Goans Spors trounced Victory 4-0. Imtaz Ahmed scored two goals in the 29th and 53rd minutes. The other two goals were scored by Bhupinder in the 32nd minutes and R. Sigrey. Goans have completed their 20 league matches and earned 14 points. Victory have only six points in 10 matches. Victory, who have been shining in patches, failed to make a match of it in their last league outing.

Goans, on the other, had utilised the chances that came their way. In fact, they should have scored a couple of more goals but complacency set in after they took a comfortable lead.

In another match of the day, Garhwal Heroes defeated South India 1-0. Garhwal Heroes have five points in nine matches while South India have four in nine.
