IAF may look for Infosys support

Are Infosys Technologies and the Indian Air Force (IAF) joining hands? That was the buzz here after Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal S. Krishnaswamy visited the IT major’s campus in Electronics City on Friday. ‘‘It’s an exploratory visit to identify areas in which they can help us,’’ he told reporters at the IAF Training Command headquarters here.

The visit to Infosys comes close on the heels of a similar gesture by a US Air Force commander. Krishnaswamy said it was a ‘‘courtesy call’’ to understand the quality of the private sector.
