IAF commanders’ meet to focus on personnel

Issues regarding personnel will dominate the Air Force commanders’ week-long conference which was inaugurated on Monday by Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal S. Krishnaswamy.

It is understood that key proposals relating to personnel — recommendations of the Ajay Vikram Singh Committee report and the air chief’s proposal to merge the non-technical branches — form part of the agenda. According to Air HQ sources, the IAF top brass was given a presentation of the key proposals on the rationalising of existing manpower policies to ensure better career growth.
