BACHDE (TARN TARAN), May 19: Kuldip Singh, Special Police Officer and a key eyewitness in the case of alleged killing of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra by some police officials, is leading a lonely life, surrounded by jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force. He told a team of ENS here today that though he was destined to live like this, he was determined to see the ``real culprits'' in the Khalra case behind bars. He alleged former DGP K.P.S.Gill had given his nod for eliminating Khalra.Kuldip Singh claimed that Gill had met Khalra at the residence of Ajit Singh Sandhu, former SSP, a few days before Khalra was shot dead. He said he had accompanied Khalra along with Satnam Singh, SHO of Chhabal police station.He said while returning from Sandhu's residence, he overheard Satnam Singh telling Khalra, ''if you agree to Gill, you will be spared and we will also be saved''.Kuldip Singh complained that since the day CRPF security was provided to him, no human rights activist and members of the Khalra Action Committee had visited him. ``They might have used me but I have no regret over exposing the guilty police officials'', he declared. He reiterated that he had given his statement to the CBI in full consciousness and he would stand by it.Kuldip Singh said he had been taken prisoner in his own house and that he would write to the Supreme Court and the state government to provide him some vehicle. He said one four-wheeler of the CRPF had been procided by the district police, but he is not allowed to use it. He said CBI officials were expected to visit him on May 21.He disclosed that he had received a message from senior Akali Dal leader Simranjit Singh Mann and would explain him his problems whenever he would come to his place. He said it was the moral duty of the Akali Dal leaders and human life activists to extend him full cooperation and assistance.A full company of the CRPF, headed by Inspector Ram Singh Bhandari, has been deployed outside Kuldip Singh's residence. Kuldip Singh said he was satisfied with the CRPF security.
