Gautam Chauhan, who filmed the burnt Best Bakery for the Vadodara police, told the Mazgaon court on Wednesday that he had seen ‘‘dadi’’ on the premises. But he did not state if she was key witness Zaheera Sheikh’s grandmother.Deposing before Special Judge Abhay Thipsay, the cameraman said he worked for Dimple Video and had gone to the bakery with Inspector D. Baria on March 2, 2002, around 10 am to capture the aftermath on tape.‘‘The bakery was burning and the injured were lying on the ground. Fire brigade personnel also brought down some bodies,’’ Chauhan said, adding, ‘‘I saw dadi (grandmother) too.’’However, he did not mention if he was referring to Zaheera’s grandmother, Sheikh Haseena. Zaheera, her brothers Nasibullah and Nafitullah, sister Saira and mother Sehrunissa had all told the court during their deposition that their grandmother was not present during the carnage. The video allegedly shows images of Nafitullah’s first wife Yasmin too. The Sheikhs have claimed that Yasmin was not present during the carnage. The court is expected to view the video on Thursday.
