What’s distinct about your role in this movie? This is the first time I play a complete heroine—which was exciting. Sanjana’s the perfect daughter, wife and lover. Did you have to stretch yourself as an actress? Not really. Soorajji knows exactly what he wants and expects me to deliver. I’ve worked with directors who aren’t sure about certain shots, sequences or songs. You have a steamy beach scene with Hrithik?During the course of the movie, I fell in love with Prem, the character that Hrithik plays—he has everything I want in a man. I really didn’t have to act at all: the feelings flowed from within. I’m a spontaneous actress and when I’m not feeling the vibe, it’s evident. How was the experience of working with Hrithik?Hrithik is such a methodical actor, he always prepares himself before every shot. I am just the opposite, taking life as it comes. What was it like working with Abhishek after the broken engagement with your sister?I’m my own person and I have my own equation with Abhishek. We started our careers together and there’s a lot of goodwill between us. I’m not saying it wasn’t traumatic, but we’ve all had to smile and move on.
