HVP leader shot dead in MDU

ROHTAK, May 26: IN A daring incident, Haryana Vikas Party leader and local zila parishad member Devender Coach was today shot dead on Maharshi Dayanand University campus here by some unidentified assailants.Davinder, 28, was stabbed and shot in head, chest and stomach from close range.According to information available here, the deceased, a fourth year student in the university law department, had come to the department to appear for his annual exam.As he came out of the examination hall around 10 a.m., he was attacked by assailants waiting outside the building. He was cornered outside the office of head of department of laws. The assailants, six to seven in number, then fired several rounds at him before fleeing.
