Farhan Azmi, who was arrested in Dubai along with three other youths from Mumbai on charges of possessing drugs, returned home today after 41 days in custody of Dubai Police.

The others arrested in the drug bust at Dubai’s Imperial Suites Hotel were auto designer Dilip Chhabria’s son Bonito, producer G.P. Sippy’s grandson Shaan Uttamsingh and automobile engineering student Prasad Dandekar. Shaan and Bonito were discharged earlier.

Farhan, son of SP leader Abu Asim Azmi, arrived in Mumbai this evening. Soon after, he was questioned by Customs and Intelligence officials regarding drug smuggling. Farhan’s father, also at the airport, alleged the officials harassed him with questions about smuggling drugs worth Rs 25 crore even though he was acquitted by the Dubai authorities. Azmi has now demanded an inquiry into the incident. ‘‘I had gone to Dubai to get a cook for my hotel. I was with my friends at Imperial Hotel. I was not carrying any drug. I was surprised when drugs were found in my friend Prasad’s wallet,’’ Farhan said. Except Dandekar, all the others have been acquitted. Shaan left Dubai two weeks back and is in Mumbai. Dilip Chhabria said his son’s passport was handed back and he is on holiday in Europe.
