The week gone by saw Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil wearing a different hat, even if it was only for a day. The retreat at Agra at the end of the meeting of SAARC home and interior ministers in Delhi entailed the customary visits to the Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri. At the Taj Mahal, Patil is said to have turned guide, taking it upon himself to hold forth on the intricacies of the architecture and the history of the Mughal monument. His guests were all ears, none more so than Pakistan Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao.
