MUMBAI, April 5: Defending champions Mary XI crashed out of the 18th Brother Paulus Memorial Football tournament at the St Francis D’Assisi Ground, Borivli today. The 14-times champion lost to Holiday Inn, 5-4 via tie-breaker in the quarter-final.

Anis Kanchan put the eventual winners into the lead with a 38 minute strike in the second-half. The goal came off a free-kick by John L. Dharmendra Baria equalised in the 41st minute.

The operation, led by Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, was launched after a terror attack in Pahalgam and saw the killing of over 100 terrorists.
