JABALPUR, January 8: The management of Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board (MPEB) has agreed to revise and enhance the payscales of class three and four employees along with fringe benefits from April 1, 1994, following negotiations on New Year’s Day between MPEB and the Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Karmachari Sangh.

It may be recalled that a negotiation committee was set up by the MPEB management for the revision and enhancement of the power-workers, and talks have been on for the last two months between the Sangh leaders and MPEB authorities.

The agreement was signed by MPEB secretary P N Pandey and ex-MLA and general secretary of the Sangh D P Pathak, in the presence of the senior executive of the state electricity board and other trade unionists.

The revised payscales have been framed by adding together the basic salary of April, 1994, 20 per cent additional pay, 104 per cent dearness allowance of April, 1994 and 12.5 per cent of the basic salary of April, 1994.

In the revised payscale, the minimum salary of Rs 950 per month has been increased to Rs 2250 per month and the maximum salary of Rs 3325 per month for class three employees has been enhanced to Rs 8900 per month.
