High Court directive on traffic

KHARAR, July 22: Following the directions on traffic guidelines of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the district administration has started a special campaign to challan the vehicle drivers for violation of traffic rules in the entire district.

Deputy Commissioner Kulbir Singh Sidhu today told Newsline that during the last two days DTO Sunil Bhatia challaned a large number of drivers for not adhering to the traffic rules. Two-wheeler drivers and pillion riders have been challaned for not wearing helmets and vehicles with dark films, pressure horns and red lights have also been challaned, he said.
