AHMEDNAGAR, Jan 14: The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court yesterday stayed the implementation of the final notification on extending civic limits of Ahmednagar town by merging the 17 fringe villages till February 5.
The stay came from the two-member bench comprising Justice A D Mane and N P Chapalgaonkar on a petition filed by former sarpanch of Kedgaon Thakaji Satpute, sarpanch of Nagapur Dattatray Sapre and Sopan Thube. The final notification was stated to be in the last stage.
