NEW DELHI, May 28: The Delhi High Court today issued notice to the chairman, Telecom Commission, Union Ministry of Communications on a petition seeking to prevent a loss of about Rs 20 to Rs 30 crore to the public exchequer going to be caused by the government decision to purchase digital transmission analyser.
A division bench comprising Justice Ramesh Chandra Lahoti and Justice Mukul Mudgal issued the notice returnable on August 21 on a petition filed by Centre for Public Interest Litigation. The petitioner submitted that the equipment is no longer required by the Department of Telecommunication as it has become outdated.
