PUNE, Jan 4: Continuing with his practice of writing to the Chief Minister appraising him with various facts, Hazare in his latest letter has written about Ghotewadi, a small village in Ahmednagar distirct.Commenting on cost and benefit ratio of different development schemes, Hazare pointed out that billions of rupees were spent on water conservation in the past, yet these investments failed to provide relief to the parched areas.Even under saffron alliance this continued, Hazare emphasised making a point that Ghotewadi had received as many as eight percolation tanks, three cement bunds and a whopping 150 nalla bunds in past year and still it depended on waterb tankers during the last summer. ``Hence there has been a need for a stringent controls and monitoring''.
