Hazare to expose 2 Cong sugar barons

Saying that widespread corruption in administration had become a curse for development, he said he would shortly undertake a tour of the state to set up district and taluka-level committees to expose corrupt bureaucrats and politicians. He would set up 300 such committees within an year, he said.

The district committees set up by the government with a collector as its chief and other top officers as members were of no use, as the officers themselves judged their own actions, he remarked. About his corruption charges against Social Welfare Minister Babanrao Gholap, who has threatened to file a defamation case against him, Hazare said the Chief Minister was looking into the matter.
