“We have lost touch with the people. And this has created a gap between the common people and the leaders. Now we should start bridging this gap by going to the people,” said AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting at the K P College ground here today.

“Pahle ke neta logo ke saath the, par ab ke neta aur logon ke beech main dooriyan badh gayi hain,” he said.

Rahul also took a dig at the state government, stating that the central government funds for various social welfare schemes were not reaching the common man. Expressing concern over the flood situation in 23 districts, he said he would visit the affected areas soon.
