HISAR, Feb 12: Jaivir Singh Bisla, member, board of management, CCS Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU) today submitted his resignation to the Chancellor Mahabir Prasad, in protest against the alleged favouritism, nepotism and irregularities committed by Vice Chancellor J B Chowdhury.Addressing mediapersons here today, Bisla also released a list of about half-a-dozen cases where, he alleged that the vice chancellor had compromised with seniority and merit while giving promotions, appointments and extensions to the staff after superannuation.The board member also denied allegations that he pressurised VC in appointing one of his relatives to the post of head, extension education. ``The VC reversed the appointment just to embarrass me'', he added.In a question about controversy over claiming of whooping travelling allowances (TA) by non-official members, Bisla said that he had never charged extra bills and asked VC and registrar to present their claim bills in order to settle the controversy so that the people could also know the facts.He further alleged that the VC, for reasons known to him, failed to take any action in a couple of cases brought to his notice about irregularities being committed at ``Krishi Gyan Kendras'' of the varsity located at Mahendragarh and Gurgaon.The VC, who was busy in parliamentary panel's visit at the campus, could not be contacted for his comments.In another development, he also resigned from the primary membership of Chief Minister Bansi Lal-led Haryana Vikas Party (HVP) in protest against the state government's failure to do anything for the farmers in Narnaund area, which were severely hit because of water-loggin problem. ``Despite many promises, the CM failed to announce any compensation for the affected farmers,'' he lamented.Bisla also flayed the ruling alliance for the deteriorating law and order situation and worsening condition of roads all over the state.
