NEW DELHI, Sept 26: The police on Thursday arrested three persons, alleged to be terrorists belonging to the Harkat-ul-Ansar outfit, and recovered two kg of RDX and PETN (the raw form of RDX) from them. With the arrest of Abdul Gafoor, Suhail and Tasleem, the police say they have prevented major blasts in and around Delhi.

The two kg of RDX was reportedly recovered from Abdul Gafoor and Suhail while they were waiting for an “operational group” at the Nizamuddin flyover. The Crime Branch laid a trap and arrested the two before the arrival of the buyer, who has not been identified by the police. Following their interrogation, Tasleem was arrested during a raid at Zaffarabad in Seelampur. The two kg of PETN was reportedly recovered from him. The trio were operating in Delhi under the instructions of Tasleem’s brother Salim Kari, a Pakistani national.
