The Indian hardware industry has enormous potential to contribute more to the domestic IT sector’s growth, said Wipro CMD Azim Premji at the second India-Asean business summit. He said the Indian IT sector has become global and is also paving the way for other industries from India going global. He said that the size of the Indian IT industry for the year 2002-2003 stood at $16.5 billion. “While the size may sound attractive, it is actually very small,” he said.
